Best Upscale Indian Restaurant in London. Excellent service from Meruf. Food tastings with wine pairings were perfect!

I had an amazing experience. My server was Maruf and he was very attentive. I selected the Tastings menu. The food was so flavorful and delicious. I would highly recommend to anyone!

I’ve tried Indian restaurants before in Istanbul and Cairo, but I can say that this has been the most delicious one so far. I would also like to mention that Mr. Maruf from the staff was very professional and warm-hearted. I hadn’t ordered the rice that complements the dish I chose, but he brought it as a complimentary side. I guess he didn’t want the harmony of the flavors to be disrupted. It was a very kind and thoughtful gesture. If I ever come this way again, I would love to return to both the hotel and the restaurant.

My favorite Indian spot in London! We started with tasty Lychee martinis. Their tasting menu is so amazing!!! Be sure to get the wine pairing too! Ruhel and Maruf made our experience the best! This is my second time at Light of India and definitely won’t be my last. Be sure to add this on your must stops in London! You will not be disappointed!

I had an exceptional dining experience, as this was my first time experiencing Indian cuisine. The staff were warm, attentive, and professional, ensuring that I felt comfortable throughout my visit. We were seated in the window seat and had a great view of the street. We ordered the Taste of India. It is a wonderful exploration of the tastes and we full enjoyed it. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Special call out to Ruhel who went above and beyond for us. We enjoyed the experience so much that we went back the next night and were thoroughly impressed. Thank you to all the staff at the Light of India

We had our first meal at Light of India last night after a recommendation by our tour guide. We could not have been happier with the wonderful and delicious meal they provided. A special warm thank you to our host Ruhel who went above and beyond in serving us. The “Rajasthani Mitch ka Gosht” was served with the perfect amount of spicy. And the “Royal Ultimate Chocolate Fudge Cake” was a sweet ending to a superb meal and evening. Many thanks to Ruhel and Light of India.

The service was outstanding—our server Maruf was attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome. We had Pistachio Chicken Korma, Lamb Madras, Malwa Mango Chicken and Ajwaiji Salmon Tikka. While everything was presented nicely, the flavors felt a bit flat and the dishes didn’t quite meet the expectations set by the stellar service. Flavor is key in Indian cuisine, unfortunately it was missing this time. I’d return for the great hospitality and beautiful interiors, though I really hope the chef rediscovers their joy in cooking so the meals can improve and authentic rich Indian flavours will be re-introduced. Special thanks for the excellent espresso; it was a highlight of the dinner.
